Description

The success or failure of a grant proposal may depend on factors other than the quality of the research project. The quality of the writing of the funding application may tip the balance one way or the other.

This 1-day, practical workshop will help you rise to the challenge of formulating effective grant proposals in English for international research projects.

 

Objective

  • To help participants identify the main, indispensable ingredients of a successful grant proposal

  • To help participants write well-constructed, clear and consistent English grant proposals

Content

The workshop Applying for Research Grants will help you train the following skills:

  • Acquire strategies for maximizing the odds when crafting a strong grant proposal

  • Write as clearly, concisely and consistently as possible

  • Match review criteria by highlighting the credibility, validity, novelty, significance and relevance of your research

  • Write project abstracts

Please note that this workshop will be taught entirely in English. To participate and benefit the most, you should be able to communicate fluently in English (approximately B2 level or above).
