Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Pischinger

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Pischinger RWTH Aachen | VKA

Professor Stefan Pischinger finished his mechanical engineering studies at RWTH Aachen University in 1985. Afterwards, he worked as research assistant at Sloan Automotive Laboratory, M.I.T., where he graduated as PhD in 1989. From 1989 to 1997 Professor Pischinger worked at Daimler-Benz (today: Daimler) both in the area of diesel and Otto engines. Since 1997 he is director of the Institute for Thermodynamics and head of the Institute for Combustion engines at RWTH Aachen University. At the same time, Professor Pischinger was appointed member of the board of management of FEV in Aachen in 1997; since 2003 he is president and CEO. Professor Pischinger is member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts since 2010.

 
 
 
 

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jakob Andert

Professor Andert finished his studies of Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in 2006. Afterwards, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) of RWTH Aachen University and graduated as PhD in 2012. After three years as project manager for Electrics/Electrification at FEV GmbH, Professor Andert was appointed as Junior Professor in the field of mechatronic systems for combustion engines.

 
 
 
 

Dr.-Ing. Marco Günther

Dr.-Ing. Marco Günther RWTH Aachen | VKA

Marco Günther studied mechanical engineering with the focus on combustion engines at RWTH Aachen University and graduated in 2010. Afterwards, he began his work as research assistant at the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) of RWTH Aachen University, where he graduated in 2015. In 2014, Mr. Günther was appointed as chief engineer.

 
 
 
 

Dipl.-Ing. Peter Dittmann

Dipl.-Ing. Peter Dittmann RWTH Aachen | VKA

Peter Dittmann studied Mechanical Engineering at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. After finishing his studies in 2011, he worked as research assistant at the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) of RWTH Aachen University. In January 2016, Mr. Dittmann was appointed chief engineer at the Institute for Combustion Engines. In addition, he is Program Manager of the Project House “Center for Automotive Catalytic Systems Aachen” at RWTH Aachen University since 2014.

 
 
 
 

Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Benedikt Heuser

Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Benedikt Heuser RWTH Aachen | VKA

Benedikt Heuser studied Business Administration and Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. After finishing his studies in 2012, he worked as research assistant at the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) of RWTH Aachen University. Since 2015, Mr. Heuser has been Chief Operating Officer – COO – of the Cluster of Excellence “Tailor-Made Fuels from Biomass” at RWTH Aachen University. In 2016, he was appointed as chief engineer at the Institute for Combustion Engines.
